AEE prepared 50 energy efficiency trainers to work with communities!

The Association on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving in the framework of the project Project “Improving capacities of the hromadas to implement energy management and advise on energy efficiency” completed a series of ten-day trainings on energy efficiency and energy management for the participants from Eastern and Western regions. Training  took places in Chernivtsi, Lviv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk cities.

This program is implemented in the framework of the project  “Energy efficiency and energy management in united local communities (ULC)” implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government jointly with “U-Lead with Europe” for empowerment of rights and possibilities on the local level, accountability and development.

As a result, 50 professional trainers from public authorities were prepared. In the future they could provide consulting services in the fields of energy management and energy audit, monitoring systems, development of local EE&RES policies (SEAPs) and their introduction for amalgamated hromadas and municipalities.

Among the studding subjects  were:

• organization of energy management system in the united territorial communities;
• energy monitoring and benchmarking as energy management tools;
• technical aspects of thermo-modernization of public buildings;
• Covenant of Mayors. Development of the Action Plan on Sustainable Energy Development and Climate (SEAPs);
• Identification of financing sources for energy saving measures;
• ensuring effective  buildings and equipment operation (facility management);
• conducting energy audits and preparing feasibility studies;
• SEAP as a tool for improving energy efficiency of residential buildings;
• public speaking;
• energy efficiency&RES  legislation;
• best international practices for the successful development of municipalities  in Ukraine;
• improving presentation skills and work with the audience and others.

After ten days of successful completion of the training, the participants have  received certificates of the coach on energy efficiency and energy saving.
